Tribute to King Henri IV
The two 2 million dollar bottle: Henri IV Dudognon Héritage.
The bottle was conceived in 2008 by the Tequila company Ley. 925 and it is produced by jeweler José Davalos. Ley. 925 was established in 1977 by Fernando Altamirano and it targets the deluxe market segment. From the beginning he started making expensive bottles untill one day he made a bottle of tequila set with gold, diamonds and other gems that should bring in a million dollar. It proved not easy to get the bottle sold, even in Dubai. He was told tequila was not held in high regards in that part of the world, but there would be an interest if the contents were to be cognac. So Fernando started looking for a qualified cognac manufacterer and he found one in Dudognon.
The Dudognon family started in the cognac business in 1776 and has its vineyards in the grande champagne district. Apparently they also descend from King Henry IV. This claim, though very remote, was used to give the bottle its name: Henri IV Dudognon Héritage. Sometimes it is referred to as ‘the DNA of Cognac, the Essence of the Water of Life’.
Deze fles is blijkbaar in de smaak gevallen, want sinds kort (2017) zijn er ‘broertjes’ van deze fles bijgekomen en ook een stel miniaturen.
Tribute to Dubai
As a recognition for Dubai, the city that strives to be the most luxurious city in the world, Fernando Altamirano created this bottle in 2017. It is made of 18K yellow gold, adorned with 1500 high quality diamonds, 1300 sapphires and 1300 emeralds. It contains 1 litre Ultra Premium Grande Champagne cognac that has aged for over a hundred years in oak barrles. Only one copy exists and it costs €4.000.000,-.
Tribute to Michael Jackson
This bottle was made on the eighth date of death of Michael Jackson, to honour him as the King of Pop. It is made of 18K black gold and is inlaid with 4100 high quality diamonds. It contains 1 litre Ultra Premium Grande Champagne cognac that has aged for over a hundred years in oak barrles. Of this one also only one copy exists and it costs €4.000.000,-.
Tribute to Princess Diana
On the 20th dying day of Princess Diana this tribute bottle appeared (2016) as recognition of her aduous social labor to create a better world. This bottle is made of 18K white gold and is covered with 1500 high quality diamonds, 1300 sapphires and 1300 emeralds. It contains 1 litre Ultra Premium Grande Champagne cognac that has aged for over a hundred years in oak barrles. Only one copy exists and this one also costs €4.000.000,-.
Tribute to Andy Warhol
Thirty years after Andy Warhol’s death, Fernando Altamirano honoured this ‘King of pop-art’ with the above miniature bottle, made out of 18K white gold and sterling silver and adorned with 1400 sapphires and 1400 rubies of high quality. The bottle is filled with 5cl grande champagne, aged for over sixty years in oak barrels. This bottle costs €333.000,-. It is not unveiled how many copies of it were made.
