Guy Pinard, bouilleur de cru in Foussignac (fins bois)
[Not to be confused with Maxime Pinard on the Île d’Oléron, bois ordinaires.]
The Pinard family has been producing wine and cognac on the La Tour Vert estate for several generations. In 1969, Guy Pinard was one of the first in Charente to start completely organic winegrowing. He then had 18 hectares. His son, Jean-Baptiste, expanded to 22 hectares in 2011 and today they already have 32 hectares in the fins bois, planted with ugni blanc, colombard and folle blanche, for the cognac.
In addition to cognac, wine and pineau, they produce other organic products and, since 2011, beer (La Goule).
Range (fins bois): VS, VSOP, Napoléon, XO.
He uses Domaine de la Tour Vert as a brand name.
