Brillouet, bouilleur de Cru in Saint Romain de Benet (bons bois)

The family has been winegrowers in Saint Romain de Benet near Saujon since 1750. The current owners are Jean-Marc and his wife Baïba, but Alain and Janine are still present in the background. You can still see Alain’s name on the labels. The family distills itself. They also call themselves distilleries Brillouet, so they probably distill for other farmers as well.

The cognacs are sold under different labels:

  • Domaine de la Tour de Pirelonge
  • Les Trois Chevaliers (note: Gilles Cosson also had a Les Trois Chevaliers on the market, a petite champagne)
  • Boucle d’Or.

Apart from wine, pineau and cognac, the family also runs a museum, a hotel and a restaurant. They also rent out gîtes.
In the museum, antique mobile alambics can be admired. In addition, the museum is dedicated to papermaking and book printing.

Range (bons bois): unknown. In the past, there was at least an XO Domaine de la Tour de Pirelonge and a Sélection Spéciale by Les Trois Chévaliers.
