Unicoop stands for Union Cooperative des Vignerons Charentais.

1931 Founded by Pierre-Lucien Lucquiaud, along with Clément Baudy, Maurice Baudy, André Ferrand, Abel Ferrand, Désiré Lalande, Aris Brisson, le docteur Porchaire, Emile Pillet, Ferrand Grataud, Jean Maurin, Pierre Gadras. At first it was briefly called: Entrepots Coöpératives de Cognac.
1960 H. Mounier merges with Unicoop; collaboration has existed since 1947. The Prince Hubert de Polignac brand belongs to Mounier.
1997 Contract with Sydney Franck in the USA to produce Grey Goose vodka.
1999 Nearly bankrupt and rescued by the government together with Credit Agricole
2001 They buy the bankrupt Hardy from Klesch Capital Partners (KCP)
2003 They buy Calvet, a major trading house in Bordeaux
2004 Grey Goose is sold to Bacardi by Sydney Franck
2006 Calvet is sold to Grands Chais de France.
