Cave du Liboreau, coöperative in Siecq, until circa 20009

This cooperative was founded in 1953 with the main objective of producing cognac. The number of participating vignerons varies and so does the total number of hectares of vineyard. Around 2000 there were more than 100 member vignerons with 230 hectares, in 2005 140 with more than 300 hectares, but in 2014 there are only 80 with 250 hectares. All fins bois, though.

Today, relatively more emphasis is placed on the production and sale of wine and pineau.

They have their own distillery. There is collaboration with Charentes-Alliance, with which Unicognac also works.

Mr Jean-Yves Marilleau is the director.

The cognacs they make are marketed under the Calisinac label: VS, VSOP, Napoléon and XO (all fins bois).

Update 2020: merged into Charentes Alliance (Unicognac, now Jules Gautret) around 2009.
