Prince de Didonne, brand of cooperative of Saint Sulpice de Royan

Founded in 1984 under the name of Coöpérative Agricole des Cantons de Cozes et de Saujon Sémussac. Now called Cave cooperative de Fontbedeau and part of the Groupe Charentes Alliance, which also includes Unicognac. The name Cave de Didonne is also used.
Several hundred wine growers from the bons bois region have joined this cooperative. The best-known brand of cognac they produce is Prince de Didonne.

Range: VS, VSOP, Napoléon, XO. They also used to make an Extra.

Update 2020: around 2016, Cave Coöperative de Fontbedeau became part of the Jules Gautret cooperative (Caves).
