Decroix (formerly knowns as Chez Caillaud), winegrower in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes (bons bois)
Jean-François Decroix started his organic farm in 1977 and in 2000 he started with direct sales. In 2011 he was succeeded by Alice Decroix and Gaëtan Boutemy. They grow split peas, spelt, lentils and Pharaoh grain on their 43 hectares and sell these and, the products derived therefrom, mostly at local markets. But 15 hectares have also been planted with wine.They do not make cognac themselves, but have outsourced it to Léopold Gourmel. This is usually cognac under the Gourmel label using the name Cognac Bio Attitude. Very occasionally they also have bottles made under their own name: Decroix. This is a Vieille Reserve. Until a few years ago it was called Chez Caillaud.
