Comte Joseph, brand produced by Les Grands Chais de France

After the Second World War, Joseph Helfrich started producing the Comte Joseph brand in the distillery that he had taken over from his father René.

In 1979, he founded Les Grands Chais de France, which has grown into one of the largest wine producers in France, with J.P. Chenet and Calvet as prominent names.
In 1987, the spirits department was placed in the hands of a team of specialists under the leadership of cellar master David Schneider.
