Arcalis, brand of the Bodard family, bouilleur de Cru in Archiac (petite champagne)

The company was established in 1870 by Pierre Lavalette. His daughter married to Aleviou Bodard. Today Jean-Pierre and Jocelyne Bodard are seventh generation and the present owners. They possess forty hectares of vineyard in the petite champagne district and they distill their own wines. In 2001 they decided to start selling part of their production directly to private customers.
Their oldest casks are from 1932.
