Henri Geffard, bouilleur de Cru in Verrières (grande champagne)

(Not to be confused with Cyril Geffard in St. Foy near Pérignac in the petite champagne area)

The family had originately started in 1840 with an estate in Salignac (fins bois area), but they moved to Verrières in 1968 where they now have 29 hectares of vineyard in the grande champagne area. Half of it is in the community of Verrières and the other half in Juillac-le Coq. Over 90% is planted with ugni blanc, the remaining with colombard.
Besides their own production and sales, a great deal is sold to firms like Courvoisier, Rémy Martin and Hennessy.
Henri’s children, Karine and Stéphane, also work in the company, so a follow-up is garanteed.
