XO now 10 years minimum

Already in 2011 it was announced that the requirement for cognac to be called XO would go up to ten years. Up till now this has been six years. It means tha cognac has to be aged in oak casks foor at least ten years before it is bottled. It is already in effect as of April 1st, 2018.
An exception is allowed for cognacs that has been bottled and packaged before March 31st of 2018. These can be sold as XO until March 31st, 2019.
