Domaine de Flaville, bouilleur de Cru in Dompierre sur Charente (fins bois and borderies)
Coming from a family of winegrowers, Jacky Bureau started in 1971 with 3 hectares of vineyard on the border between borderies and fins bois. He now has 38 hectares, partly borderies, partly fins bois, planted with Ugni blanc, Colombard and Montils and a few more varieties for pineau.
Except for his own brand of cognac, which he started in 1984, he also supplies to Martell and Courvoisier.
The cognacs are sold under the label ‘Domaine de Flaville’.
Range: Three stars, VSOP, Vieille Réserve and XO. No information from which crus the cognacs are made, but probably a blend of borderies and fins bois.
