Hine Bottle Catalogue (last updated Sep 20, 2024)

(721 regular sized bottles, 20 magnums, 13 figurines and 347 miniatures, but still incomplete)

Hine is actually founded in 1817 by Thomas Hine, but you will often see 1763 on their bottles as the year they were first established. (To find out why, go the the Hine page.)
Hine’s emblem is the recumbent stag. The name Hine is probably derived from hinde: a keeper of the deer. Hence the emblem, that was registered in 1867 bij Isaac Georges Hine.
In 1962 Hine was appointed official cognac supplier to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, so you can see the royal arms depicted on many of their bottles.
Hine specializes in the use of grande and petite champagne for their cognacs. That is why you mainly will see fine champagne, grande champagne and petite champagne cognacs on this page.

  1. I can’t find any bottles with anything close to this on the label. I’m curious as to what year this is and and any other pertinent information. Thanks.

    • You’re right. I haven’t seen this one before. The photo is not very sharp, so I cannot read the neck label, nor the red letters diagonally on the main label. If I send you an e-mail, can you send me a better picture?
It looks to me like a US import bottle from the 1960s. I cannot tell if the sentence of the federal law is on the bottle. If not, it is after 1964. With a better photo, I think I can say more about the value.

      • Thanks for the excellent photo’s. I suspected that it was an Imperiale, but I have never seen an Imperiale before in this type of bottle, only in carafes. The carafes are mainly sold in Mexico.

      • Hello,

I have the bottle in the photos and was looking for some information about it if you have any.

Thanks in advance, great content here.

        • I haven’t seen this bottle before and I can’t quite make out what’s in the dark rectangle just above the deer.
Usually, a vieille fine champagne is not really matured and similar to a VSOP (compte 4).
I would love it if you send me a picture of the whole bottle.
After some internet searching, I did find a bottle similar to yours, but the picture is very small. I added that bottle at section 11h.

  2. Hello, I have a Hine Extra Golden Stag and I am trying to figure out an estimation of the price (without content, in very good condition), and year of production. I see some prices online which gives me an idea, but I can’t find anywhere the year of production.

I would appreciated if someone could help me out.

    Thanks,
    Konstantinos

  3. I have an unopened bottle of T Hine Cognac as shown under contents ! stars and vs. It is a bottle of T Hine Cognac 84 proof Imported by 21 Brands.
You are looking for photo. I would like to converse about this bottle of Cognac. My phone in Philadelphia is 1 215 925 2544.

    Thank you

    Fred Ottaviano

  4. Hi, I’m trying to identifythis bottle. It seems as if it’s one of the Rare and Delicate ones but the looks don’t match any of the bottles I know from that range. Please help 🙂

    • That’s difficult Wojciech, this is just the back side of the bottle and the picture is of low quality.
I guess the front label is missing?

    • Hi Christian,

I have not seen this one before. The embleme with the stag was used in the 1990s mostly.
Could you send me a better photo with the whole bottle please so I can put it on yhe Hine catalog page?
I will send you an email to facilitate.

      Thanks in advance,
      Ton

  5. Excellent and extensive photo library of T.Hine & Co bottlings. I have one more for your collection, a 200th Anniversary bottling of Triomphe, for US distribution – 1963 (with Royal Warrant, awarded in 1962, on neck of bottle).
