Brugerolle Bottle Catalogue (last updated Nov 5, 2023)

(221 bottles, half bottles and up; but still incomplete)

Brugerolle is one of the major brands of the CDG group, owned by Michel Coste. One other well known brand from this group is Meukow. But Brugerolle was established as an independant family company in Matha in 1847. Their logo is an eagle which can be seen on almost every bottle. In addition to the eagle they also use a picture of their distillery, which is a unique building with a very characteristic little tower on it.
Most of their bottles feature the signature of Léopold Brugerolle who called the company Distillerie de Matha Léopold Brugerolle.

Brugerolle bottle catalog — 7 reacties

  1. Hello,

I went to your beautiful and definite website and had a look at the Brugerolle bottle catalog, but can´t seem to find the Brugerolle bottle I have. My bottle weighs 3152gr on the scales, but I guess it will be 1.5 litres, so apparently it is a Magnum bottle. Mine doesn´t mention the 45 Grand Prix, but it is very well preserved, with a high shoulder. I attach a photo. Any idea of the approx. value of such a bottle? Thanks a lot, best Joern

      • Hi there,
Thanks a lot for your quick answer!
I will open the bottle this Saturday on the occasion of a 60th birthday and invite the 20 something invitees to a good sip of this Cognac. Let´s see whether the cork holds.
        Best
        Joern

        • Congratulations in advance. And don’t forget to let us know how it was, the cognac I mean. And I wouldn’t be surprised if the cork breaks. That is indeed a common problem. But given the size of the bottle, I suspect that it has been standing upright and therefore the cork may not be in too bad a shape.
          Cheers!
