Paul Ronne donated more than 25,000 labels, patiently collected over many years, to the Musée des Arts du Cognac (MACO), and he still continues to enrich the collection every time he finds something new. His only concern has ever been the protection and preservation of cultural hertitage and his generosity honours him. Since 2003 he has been a close partner in our activities to protect the cultural heritage of Cognac.

The date marked under certain labels is the year in which the brand or trade mark was registered at the 'Tribunal de Commerce' (Commercial Court), the signatures of the depositor and of the Clerk of the Court conform to Article 5 of the Decree of 26th July 1858. The first depositor of a trade mark was Mr Oscar PLANAT, Merchant at Cognac on the 3rd February, 1859 at 10 o'clock in the morning (signed by O. PLANAT and the Clerk, BAUMAGNAT).
