The Braastad family’s first brand is Tiffon, which was founded in 1875. After Sverre Braastad married into the family, the Braastads have always remained owners of Tiffon. Only in 1990 did they start producing cognac under their own name as well.

Often, the Braastad brand uses the same emblem as Tiffon’s: a woman holding two shields, sometimes with the iconic building on Chai Île Madame in the background. But an emblem with Sverre Braastad depicted on it is also used.
