Hermitage Cognac, owned by an English cognac producer who also owns Brandyclassics.
Brandyclassics is owned by David Baker, an Englishman who fell under the spell of cognac in 1980. He started a distribution company for AE Dor, but expanded this by establishing contacts with a selection of small but excellent bouilleurs de Cru throughout the cognac region and starting his own cognac label with them: Hermitage Cognac. Most of his cognacs are grande champagne, but there are also cognacs from other districts. Each cognac is a single estate cognac and the name usually refers to the municipality of the vineyard where the cognac comes from, but sometimes also to the name of the bouilleur. They are exclusive and expensive cognacs that are regularly awarded.
